More information: https://www.airshaper.com Sample project: https://app.airshaper.com/simulations/naca0015-more-lift-full-morph In this video, we apply aerodynamic shape optimization using the adjoint technique to a 3D NACA 0015 airfoil. The method runs through a number of cycles, each containing: - a primal run (normal CFD simulation of the aerodynamics) - a dual run (adjoint simulation to link the lift improvement goal to the flow field) - a sensitivity map calculation (to calculate how the surface should be morphed to increase lift) - a morphing step to implement these suggestions. The morphing is applied to the volume & surface mesh directly For more information, just get in touch at info@airshaper.com!
